Theatre Guidelines

At Ballet Etude, we are committed to creating a safe, professional, and uplifting experience for every dancer and audience member. These guidelines reflect our ongoing expectations anytime we are in the theatre—not just on performance days. Treating the theatre with respect helps keep dancers safe, ensures smooth rehearsals, and maintains a welcoming environment for all.

Theatre Expectactations

Arrival & Drop-Off
  • Performers must remain out of sight of audience areas unless otherwise directed. This helps maintain the professionalism of the production and preserves the magic and mystery of the performance for the audience.

  • Dancers should arrive fully prepared with hair and makeup done unless instructed otherwise.

  • Performers should enter through the side stage door, across the street from The Baker's Dozen. During rehearsals, family members may remain in the auditorium. During performances, family members need to walk around the outside of the building and enter through the front entrance and present their tickets.

These rules apply during rehearsals, workshops, classes in the theatre, and performances alike.

Stage Makeup Tutorials

are visible to the audience.
